4,000,000 Telephones are reconnecting after thirty five years with the original four members, Richard, Malcom Tent, Eg Lucas and Carl Antony Plover releasing their first single in over three decades. 'Goats' is the first single taken from their forthcoming album released via download on Friday April 16, 2021. Originally recorded in 1986, 'Goats' was part of a collection of unreleased material recorded by the band along with Jack Rabelais and Rick Woolgar.

Dedicated to his memory, the track features the solo and arrangement by saxophonist, Rick Woolgar. After releasing their self titled first album 4,000,000 Telephones to critical acclaim, through their own label Bunker Records, the band went on to release the 7 inch and 12 inch single 'French Girls', signing to Summer House Records.

Born of Lincoln 4,000,000 Telephones were an indie hit in the 80's and have reformed to release never heard material and new mixes of tracks. The band toured extensively throughout the UK and Germany and between 1984 and 1987 produced a series of post punk soundscape releases that met with a mixture of cult adoration and confusion. Brilliant as a live band with a mix of angst ridden word smithery and eclectic pulsating jazz influenced deconstructions the group were tipped by many to be the next big thing before collapsing in on its own intensity.
